Not My Day

...
Today is a difficult day for some of us. Thoughts of might-have-beens and should-have-beens. Thoughts that maybe next year....

For each of you, my wish is that today you feel peace and hope. Peace in what you have lost or have not attained. Hope that this day will be much happier for you next year.

The silent, crushing ache of we infertiles on mother's day is a loud silence indeed.

And soon...just a few hours....I will be off to visit with my SIL Wacky P and my MIL, Madame Firing Squad. Report to follow.

Have a great day with your fam.

This is a difficult day for us, but I know that there will be a mother's day celebrated for us in the coming years...

So very true. Today is not my favorite but I am hopeful that next year we will all be more joyous on this day.

Just a warning, I signed onto facebook today and almost every single person of my 100+ friends (really I hardly know that many people!) had also signed in to mass wish every woman a "happy mother's day". Avoid social networking sites at all costs! :)

Hope you made it through the day ok. Looking forward to hearing how it went. I didn't even log into Facebook today - who needs all that mass greeting stuff?

You have my love and well wishes! Its so hard to read your story knowing that the hurtful people you will interact with on this day really probably deserve kids less than you. Your heart is on your sleeve on this blog, and its quite apparent that your child, however they/he/she comes to you, (ivf, adoption, stealing one from octomom) it will be treated as precious, and you take this responsibility very seriously. In that way, you are certainly worthy of a Happy Mothers Day, because thats what moms are about- love, responsibility, and courage. Even if you dont have a child at this time, you are already a mother in spirit, and thats what matters.

I too was one of the "ones" on FB to post Happy Mother's Day greeting to all. However, my post when something like, "Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, Soon to be Moms, Step-Moms and Someday Moms". You will get there. I have NO doubt!!! I completely agree with the PP when she says it is about love, courage and responsibility......
I really hope things went well with Wacky P and Madame Firing Squad!!! Wonderful me--I didn't even call my Monster in law. Just couldn't go there!!!! and I don't care
